The University of Lincoln Sports Therapy Clinics is a service provided by staff and students of the BSc Sport and Exercise Therapy, and MSc Sports Therapy programmes. They are designed to provide members of Lincolnshire MAN v FAT and Lincolnshire Cricket teams with assessments and treatments for sports injuries and musculoskeletal problems.
Detailed Description
This clinic is open to members of the MAN v FAT Lincolnshire group. As members, you will pay a nominal fee of £15 for each appointment (45 minutes).
The clinics are led by third year students of the BSc in Sport and Exercise Therapy course. These clinics provide valuable ‘hands on’ experience to our students so when you book an appointment you are supporting their learning. Please be aware, you will be seen by a student Sports Therapist, however, the student will be supervised at all times by a qualified member of staff.
Our services include assessment of injuries, treatments for acute and chronic injuries, sports rehabilitation, return to play, and sports massage.
Whether you just need a sports massage to maintain your range of motion and feel more relaxed, or you’ve recently had an injury and need help returning to sport, we are here to help you. We can also look at more chronic conditions, if you’ve had an injury that has impacted your ability to play sports or perform your daily activities, we can devise a treatment plan to help you deal with it.
Occasionally, we might also need to refer you to another practitioner (e.g. GP or Orthopaedic Consultant) if we consider your injury/condition to be outside our scope of practice.
