Curriculum Dance Development Workshop (Primary and Secondary)

Curriculum Dance Development Workshop (Primary and Secondary)

Description

This workshop will support practitioners (teachers/LSA’s/trainees) working within a primary or secondary educational context. We aim to deliver a half-day workshop that will facilitate subject and pedagogic knowledge for teaching dance as part of the National Curriculum for Physical Education.
These applied workshops will support and equip delegates through practical experiences, collaborative conversations, and a model of sharing good practice, offering delegates a holistic understanding towards effectively incorporating dance within their school PE provision.
Delegates will be supported to understand the main ingredients needed to engage pupils in the process of 'creating movement and dance.' The workshop will provide delegates with practical tools and strategies for teaching dance and our goal is to empower delegates to feel confident and competent in delivering dance, to ensure that learning is meaningful, enjoyable, and impactful for young people.
